When you place it under your head, neck and shoulders, it disperses pressure avoiding any pinch points. Your shoulders and neck experience a deep release that transitions up toward the top of your skull.
Its shape is also perfect for releasing tension in hard-to-reach curves, and you can rest your face against the spikes for a subtle sensation.

Will it hurt? Yes. But only for a little in the beginning.
Each spike responds to tension in your body, so more tension = more sensation. The initial “Ouch!” you feel activates your body’s pain response and tells it to send happiness hormones and pain-relief chemicals to the area you’re targeting. If those spikes aren’t sharp enough – or you’re beyond relaxed already – you won’t feel much.
After a few minutes, the tingling sensation fades into a deep, relaxing warmth. The redness is purely a circulation boost. You might even fall asleep.

Adaptable and effective
The pillow is highly adaptable- could be used as a lumbar support while sitting or lying down, as well as a neck support in addition to its most common function as a head pillow. The level two works well through clothing - adding a little extra pressure but not in an uncomfortable way. I’ve even fallen asleep with it!

No words for the love I feel for this pillow
I recently bought that level 2 pillow to accompany my level 1 premium mat. Its definitely a difference in sensation, but I love the intensity for my low back and neck. The intensity is real but so is the deep sense of relief! My time on my mat and now, my pillow, is a true gift to myself. My family and friends are sick of me talking about it! I think everyone should have one!
