When you place it under your head, neck and shoulders, it disperses pressure avoiding any pinch points. Your shoulders and neck experience a deep release that transitions up toward the top of your skull.

Will it hurt? Yes. But only for a little in the beginning.
Each spike responds to tension in your body, so more tension = more sensation. The initial “Ouch!” you feel activates your body’s pain response and tells it to send happiness hormones and pain-relief chemicals to the area you’re targeting. If those spikes aren’t sharp enough – or you’re beyond relaxed already – you won’t feel much.

No words for the love I feel for this pillow
I recently bought that level 2 pillow to accompany my level 1 premium mat. Its definitely a difference in sensation, but I love the intensity for my low back and neck. The intensity is real but so is the deep sense of relief! My time on my mat and now, my pillow, is a true gift to myself. My family and friends are sick of me talking about it! I think everyone should have one!

Not the relief I expected.
Was hoping for a pillow to help release neck and head tension. Had a previous experience of acupressure by a person pressing near my occipital area that gave me great relief and was hoping this might do the same. Sadly not. Perhaps I should have gone for the other pillow
