The most popular way to Shakti is in bed, before sleep. Using the Pillow as an extension of your Shakti Mat lets you target your neck and get even more relaxation from your downtime.
When you place it under your head, neck and shoulders, it disperses pressure avoiding any pinch points. Your shoulders and neck experience a deep release that transitions up toward the top of your skull.
Its shape is also perfect for releasing tension in hard-to-reach curves, and you can rest your face against the spikes for a subtle sensation.

Will it hurt? Yes. But only for a little in the beginning.
Each spike responds to tension in your body, so more tension = more sensation. The initial “Ouch!” you feel activates your body’s pain response and tells it to send happiness hormones and pain-relief chemicals to the area you’re targeting. If those spikes aren’t sharp enough – or you’re beyond relaxed already – you won’t feel much.
After a few minutes, the tingling sensation fades into a deep, relaxing warmth. The redness is purely a circulation boost. You might even fall asleep.

Have been using my Premium Acupressure Pillow together with my Premium Acupressure Mat. To say they have been game changers would be an understatement. I bought the Level 2 and when I used it for the first time, my body was screaming at me to get up for the first ten minutes! goes well with the mat
if I were to just choose either the mat or the pillow, id prioritize the mat but the pillow is a nice addition for any upper shoulder or scalp tension relief. I wish it got a little deeper into my neck area but it's pretty flexible and nice to use on the couch or while sitting in a chair during the day

Helps my right sided headaches (from stress and referred pain)
Honestly, nothing touches these headaches once they start, I can take OTC pain killers, drink tons of water, etc, and they still linger. The pillow, placed at the base of my neck through my back hairline is AMAZING! The pain and discomfort actually go away for quite a while. Highly recommend!!
